Self-development, stress management and holistic burnout prevention for healthcare professionals
Improving patient care through self-care
In a world where the demands on healthcare professionals grow heavier by the day, it can be easy to lose sight of the very reason you entered medicine.
My mission is not just to help you manage stress, but to reconnect you with that purpose, maintain your peace of mind despite health systems challenges, and rediscover the resilience that drives compassionate, patient-centred care.
What needs to shift within you to sustain your capacity for care, without sacrificing your own well-being?
“The impact that these coaching sessions have had on my self-awareness, self-acceptance and the feeling of connectedness to others is invaluable. Personality traits I once deemed as weaknesses, have become strengths on an ever-changing continuum as I grow and become more tolerable of my uniqueness.”
Four Decades of Medicine, Compassion, and Coaching
I am Dr. Hoffie Conradie (MBChB, FCFP). After more than 40 years in healthcare, from rural health services to academia, I’ve learned one enduring truth: caring for others starts with caring for ourselves.
Combining my medical background with integral coaching (ICF-PCC), I offer a holistic approach to well-being that integrates evidence-based practices, mindfulness, and non-violent communication. My focus is on facilitating healthcare professionals like you build the mental and emotional capacity to meet the complexities of your work with compassion, self-awareness, and authenticity.
What has your experience taught you about resilience, and how are you supporting yourself in navigating the immense pressures of your role?
How can your sense of purpose become the anchor amidst the challenges you face?
“The coaching gave me the opportunity to articulate my thoughts and my feelings about my work environment and the adjustment process I was experiencing. I feel that I am a better person because of the sessions and therefore a better doctor.”

“I thought I had been quite fine and coping generally well. Coaching with Prof. Hoffie Conradie has shown me that coping does not need to be merely surviving the onslaughts of daily life, but that coping can be thriving if we react to these onslaughts in a healthy manner. The greatest lesson I have learned is self-compassion and seeing myself as an entity that I need to care for as I continuously care for others as a doctor.”
